Goal Keeper Coach

Born with an innate love for sports, Trey embarked on a journey that would lead him to a passion for soccer, a sport that would shape his life in profound ways. Experimenting with various sports, Trey soon discovered his affinity for soccer, particularly in the goalkeeper position. With a natural talent for diving headfirst into challenges, both metaphorically and literally, he embraced the role with gusto, finding solace and purpose between the goalposts.

Moving to the vast soccer landscape of Texas only fueled Trey's determination to excel in the sport. Despite feeling like a small fish in a big pond, he approached each opportunity as a chance for growth and improvement. Like a sponge, he absorbed every lesson and experience, honing his skills with relentless dedication.

Upon entering college, Trey encountered new obstacles, including the unprecedented challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic. Undeterred, he persevered, earning a coveted spot as the starting goalkeeper by his junior year. His resilience and leadership qualities were recognized when he was entrusted with the captain's armband for his senior season, guiding his team to a conference semifinal.

Trey's stellar performance on the field didn't go unnoticed, as evidenced by his accolades, including first-team all-conference honors and Defensive Player of the Week recognition. His journey took an unexpected turn with a major ankle injury in October 2023, but Trey faced this setback with the same courage and determination that defined his career.

Beyond his achievements on the field, Trey found fulfillment in coaching aspiring goalkeepers. Since 2019, he has dedicated himself to mentoring young talents across various clubs and organizations, including North Texas ODP and esteemed soccer camps. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Goalkeeping at MGK Academy in Frisco, TX, Trey continues to impact the next generation of soccer stars, helping over 50 goalkeepers secure college placements and witnessing the fulfillment of their first professional signing in 2023.

Through his unwavering passion, resilience in the face of adversity, and commitment to nurturing talent, Trey has not only left an indelible mark on the soccer field but also in the hearts and minds of those he has inspired along the way.
