Game Plan For Life

Dutch Football Club believes soccer can be a powerful tool to sow seeds of faith and introduce the gospel of Jesus Christ, helping to grow God's kingdom. We are committed to inspiring our members to deepen their relationship with God through both sport and community.

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." ~ James 1:12

Dutch FC community service event

Just as Jesus spent much time with people from all walks of life, we warmly welcome anyone into our community regardless of their faith background or beliefs. Our participation in competition are places of grace, where we recognize that even as believers, we all fall short and are on a journey together to grow and mature.

On the pitch, we strive for excellence, perseverance and character growth through the beautiful game. Off the pitch, we build meaningful relationships that reflect Christ's love. Through our shared passion for soccer, we create opportunities to demonstrate faith in action.

We believe that our identity is more than just being soccer players but as children of Christ, growing and maturing constantly. This deeper understanding of who we are shapes how we play, how we interact with others, and how we live our lives on and beyond the field.

The Game Plan for Life consists of programs we facilitate to teach the Word of God that gives us eternal life. Join us as we develop not only as athletes but as whole people—strengthening body, mind, and spirit together while growing in our faith and sharing the Good News.

Dutch FC FCA Event

At Dutch FC, development goes beyond the ball. Through our partnership with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Game Plan for Life brings faith-based character development to our club in the most natural way we know — by having fun together.

Four times a year, twice in the fall and twice in the spring, our players, families, and coaches come together for FCA events built around 90 minutes of games and activities, followed by food and a speaker who shares character values and faith-based truth in an age-appropriate way.

Younger players and high schoolers each get their own experience, and every event is open to all — players are encouraged to bring a teammate or friend along.

These moments are completely optional and designed to be welcoming to every family, because building young people of strong character is part of who we are. Event dates are announced at the start of each season.

DUTCH FC BIG PACK FRISCO

Dutch FC has participated in 2025 and 2026 in the Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) Big Pack Event, in partnership with Stonebriar Community Church. At least 6,200 children a day die from hunger-related causes. Every year we have the chance to come together as a community and do something about it — and it's an amazing opportunity to serve a great need effectively.

What makes FMSC so impactful is how far each dollar goes. More than 90% of total donations are spent directly on meal production, and each meal costs less than 30 cents. That means the time and generosity our community brings translates directly into food on the table for kids who need it most.

Over two years, the results speak for themselves:

  • In 2025, 300 volunteers packed 63,277 meals — enough to feed 173 children for an entire year. Together we raised $5,220, which grew to $10,440 with matching funds.

  • In 2026, 244 volunteers packed 57,898 meals — enough to feed 158 children for a year. We raised $8,983, totaling $17,966 with the match.

Combined, that's 544 volunteers, 121,175 meals, and more than $28,000 put toward feeding children around the world. We're grateful to everyone who has rolled up their sleeves, and we can't wait to do it again.

Dutch FC Shoe & Gear Drive Supporting the Boys of
La Finca de los Niños – Honduras

WHY & WHAT?

La Finca is an orphanage just outside Tegucigalpa, Honduras and is home to about 65 children who have been rescued from unsafe or difficult situations. Soccer is their escape — a source of joy, belonging, and hope. But many of the boys still play barefoot, in shoes full of holes, or in cleats several sizes too small.

HOW?

We’re collecting new and gently used soccer cleats, uniforms, shin guards, and soccer balls for the boys of La Finca de los Niños. Your donated gear can change that. By giving your used soccer equipment a second life, you’ll help these boys play the game they love with dignity, comfort, and confidence. Every pair of cleats, every ball, every jersey will be placed directly into the hands of a child at La Finca.

WHEN &  WHERE?

Drive Duration: December 1st ➜ February 5th.
Drop Off:
Just drop your gear in the Donation Box in the shed before or after your practice.
